Imam Hussain (as)
– The saviour of Islam.
After 50 years of the death of Prophet Moammad (saww), the Muslim dictatorship has been started and was sliding into corruption under the tyrant Yazid ibne Maviya.
Imam Hussain (as) ibne Imam Ali (as) the grandson of our last Prophet, Prophet Mohammad took a stand against Yazid’s evil rule. Whilst Yazid was feared and hated for his ruthlessness, Imam Hussain (as) was loved and respected by society. Yazid realised this, and understood that if he could convince Imam Hussain (as) to support him, the people would too.
Imam Hussain (as) had this choice to support the tyrant Yazid and live a comfortable life with full of luxury or to refuse and likely be killed for his decision.
Yazeed was on the path of falsehood, and Imam Hussain (as) on the path of truth.
So Imam Hussain (as) chose the path of truth and refused Yazid’s proposal.
He said “I only desire to spread good values and prevent evil.”
Islam is alive just because of our 3rd Imam, Imam Hussain (as) ibne Imam Ali (as) ibne Abu Talib (as).
